I’m so happy to invite you to a very special Night of the Arts on May 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM at our home in north Austin.

This Night of the Arts event is extra special in that we will honor my mom, Linda Lynn Cosper, whose birthday is May 20. She had a gift for bringing people together through storytelling, laughter, baking, and especially line dancing. Many of you experienced that magic at past Nights of the Arts—she didn’t just attend, she led, often getting many of us out on the floor. 

We will also take time to honor my dad, Don Cosper, my minister, the incredible Meg Barnhouse, and my dear friend Satya—each of whom shaped my life and our communities in meaningful ways.

We’ll share music, poetry, speeches, dancing, fine art, and connection—continuing a tradition that meant so much to my mom and dad.

 A special highlight of the evening will be a performance by Big Sky Collective, featuring my nephew and his wife, Braedon and Shelby Avants, and his band.

 And to round out the night—just as Mom would have wanted—we will line dance together.

I would love to gather in community to celebrate my mom and remember these beloved people together. If you’d like to join us, please let me know. If you’d like to contribute by sharing a talent or bringing a dish or drink, I’d love to hear that too so I can plan the evening thoughtfully.
